A live demonstration in a real environment drew guests from across government and industry bodies. Discussions on grants, accreditation and further collaboration are now being arranged.
Vigil Showcase
SINGAPORE, 8 October 2026 – Solstium Pte Ltd and Shine Security hosted the Vigil Showcase on 7 October 2026, welcoming friends from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), SME Go-Digital and the IMDA Pixel team. The session presented Vigil, Solstium’s security data platform, together with Iris, its decision and action engine, running in a real environment instead of on slides.
Vigil is built to close the gap between public and private security and to replace the fragmented camera and data set-ups that many sites live with. It brings cameras, mobile guard apps, reports and sensors into one capture layer. Iris then decides and acts, escalating to command centres by WhatsApp, email or call according to how likely an event is. The aim is to manage behavioural, social and physical threats before they become incidents, instead of reacting only after the fact.
Processing and storage take place in Singapore, and no data leaves the country. Sites can also run on a Mac mini at the edge, which lowers hosting and network costs. A cloud option is available for those who prefer it.
Guests said it was refreshing to see every system presented in a clean, modular way, with the flexibility to bring in the modules a site actually needs. Three areas drew particular attention: voice-enabled incident reporting powered by MERaLiON, the features for guard monitoring, and the ability to run data locally on a Mac mini to save on hosting and network cost.
The systems were shown working in a real environment, and the same modules apply to other sectors. Vigil carries ready-made profiles and workflows for retail, construction, warehouse, factory-floor, residential and data-centre sites, and works with manpower and attendance needs as well. Standard scenarios can typically be deployed within a month. Accuracy improves as the system learns from each site.
Shown at the showcase
Video management, analytics, attendance, patrolling and robotics can be adopted separately. It works with different camera brands and is not tied to one integrator or device.
Detections such as intrusion, loitering, crowding, falls and PPE show a probability. Operators confirm or reject them, and their feedback improves the models.
Powered by MERaLiON, guards report by voice in their own language. The report becomes a structured incident and is sent on for action.
Patrol routes, checkpoint scans, attendance, rostering and reporting in one guard app, with a resident app for facility information and requests.
Flags camera downtime, recording failures, blocked lenses and pulled cables, so evidence is there when it is needed.
Incident evidence is held locally and securely, and can be sent to the authorities as soon as a report is made.
A central command can search people and vehicles across thousands of sites and follow them from camera to camera.
Robots act as roaming sensors that verify camera alerts and ease the patrol load. They support guards and do not replace them.
QR passes, number-plate recognition and gate integration, with guard validation for vehicles and walk-ins.

Guests saw each module working on site, with guards, alerts and incident reports in motion.
Support and next steps
Solstium and Shine Security thanks IMDA and MHA for the support and trust they showed, and everyone who came, asked questions and shared their time. It was a great showcase, and we look forward to building on it together.
